LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Lakeland Tropics aren't contenders for a USL League Two playoff spot this season, but the team scored its biggest win of the year with a 4-1 road triumph over Sarasota Metropolis FC Tuesday night.

The win snapped a five-game losing streak, and sets up the chance to end the season on a very positive note with the final game of the spring set this Saturday, July 12, with a "Party on the Pitch" when Florida Elite SA visits historic Bryant Stadium for a 7 p.m. start.

The Tropics raced to an early first half lead thanks to a pair of first half goals from Julian Hall. Cian Lynch added a third in the first 45 minutes to make it a 3-1 game at intermission.

Lynch also got his brace with a second half goal for the 4-1 final.

The win lifted Lakeland's mark to 4-7-2, while Sarasota falls to 3-8-2.
