PORT ST. LUCIE -- The Lakeland Tropics will look to stop a late-season losing streak Saturday when they take on the Treasure Coast Tritons in a USL League Two game which kicks off at 7 p.m.

The Tritons will look to avenge a loss at Lakeland back on June 8 at Bryant Stadium, when the host Tropics took a 3-2 win on a pair of goals by Rafael Vacas and one from team captain Luca Wichers.

Vacas comes into the game as the club's leading scorer with six goals and three assists this campaign. The Tropics will be looking to tighten things up defensive after giving up 13 goals during a current four game losing streak.

Treasure Coast' s record stands at 6-3-2, five points behind first place Villages SC. Lakeland is 3-6-2. The Tropics will be on the road for one more game -- July 9 against Sarasota Metropolis FC -- before concluding the 2019 season with a July 12 home date against Florida Elite SA, currently the second place team in the eight team USL Southeast Division.
