PORT ST. LUCIE --- Goals in each half by the Treasure Coast Tritons were enough to lift the hosts to a 2-0 win Saturday night in a USL League Two game against the Lakeland Tropics.

Roque Viagas scored from distance at the 12 minute mark before the game went into a weather dealy. The Tritons held a 1-0 lead at intermission,  and added their final goal in the 55th minute off the foot of Timmothy Ennin.

The Tritons, who fell earlier in the season to Lakeland 3-2 at Bryant Stadium, improved to 7-3-2, just two points behind the first-place Villages SC, while the Tropics dropped to 3-7-2, suffering their fifth straight defeat.

Lakeland will be on the road Tuesday against Sarasota, the last of four straight on the road, before returning to Bryant Stadium Friday, July 12 when they host Florida Elite SA in a 7 p.m. kickoff.
